Job Summary and QualificationsFrom heart attack to stroke to gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, or just fractured bones, ER nurses see it all. ER nurses learn to quickly triage patients based on immediate observation and acute assessment skills, then to treat symptoms in order of life-threatening priority.
About this unit:
- The teamwork in our 18-bed department is excellent.
- Active and engaged practice council
- Very high employee engagement
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Registered Nurse Diploma must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
