Travel Nurse RN

**Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 6:40 AM, 12-hour Days - 36 hours per week
**Guaranteed Hours:**
**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years in Labor, Delivery, Recovery
**License:** Registered Nurse License
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
**Must-Have:**
- Extensive experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and complex patients
- Proficiency in circulating during cesarean sections
- Competency in mother-baby couplet care
- Ability to manage emergent situations (e.g., shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage)
**Job Description:**
- Work in a labor and delivery unit with 7 labor beds and 2 operating rooms.
- Manage a patient load that includes laboring patients, high-risk pregnancies, scheduled inductions, and cesarean sections.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare providers, including an in-house anesthesia team.
- Perform and document basic assessments; draw laboratory samples when needed.
- Utilize technology such as GE Corometrics Fetal Monitors, Novii, and Space Labs.
- Follow AWHONN guidelines while maintaining flexibility depending on staffing and patient needs.
- Provide care in a facility that supports a high volume of 55-75 deliveries per month.
- Adhere to a rotating weekend schedule as well as holiday scheduling expectations.
- Participate in a structured orientation program comprising 3 shifts in LDR and 1 shift in Mother/Baby.
**Other Notes:**
- Be prepared for floating assignments to the Mother Baby unit, including documentation of feeds and assessments.
- Green scrubs will be provided.
- The facility offers free parking for staff.
