**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-hour rotating shifts, includes every other weekend and holidays

**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified

**Experience:** 3 years as an RN with 2 years of PICU and CVPICU experience, including hands-on experience with respiratory, neuro-surgical, and cardiac care patients.

**License:** RN (Compact Accepted)

**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

**Must-Have:**
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Certifications and licenses must not expire during the first 13 weeks
- Strong skill set in diverse patient care due to high acuity

**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care to a diverse population of pediatric patients with a focus on those requiring intensive medical attention.
- High proficiency required in managing post-neurosurgery patients, asthmatics, trauma cases, and those with status epilepticus or cleft lip/palate.
- Administer specific medications such as versed and narcotic analgesia.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.
- Utilize strong clinical skills to manage a variety of patient diagnoses and maintain an empathetic approach to patient and family interactions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of nursing care and patient progress.
