Trade Operations Associate - Middle Office
\nLocation: Midtown NYC (3 days onsite)
\nCompensation: Up to $150,000 Base + 20 - 25% Bonus

\nA leading $40B+ investment management firm with strategies spanning private credit, private equity, real estate, and hedge funds is seeking a Trade Operations Associate to join their newly combined Treasury and Middle Office (TMO) Operations team.
\nEarlier this year, they merged their historically separate Treasury and Middle Office groups into a single, integrated team, creating an opportunity to work across a broader range of functions than a traditional middle office or treasury role would offer. You'll support trade and repo operations, settlements, and treasury operations, while also taking the lead on strategic projects that shape how this newly combined team operates.

\nTrade Operations & Settlements
\n\n Support the trade operations team in monitoring settlements and resolving trade fails and breaks\n Handle settlement of repos, equities, bonds, mortgage pools, TBAs, equity swaps, interest rate swaps, and interest rate futures\n Ensure all collateral and OTC settlement movements are reconciled, affirmed, and processed at relevant counterparties and within internal systems\n\nRepo & Liquidity Support
\n\n Provide direct operational support to the repo and liquidity investments desk\n Monitor settlements, liaise with counterparties, and book trades in OMS where needed\n Liaise with PMs and analysts on corporate actions and proxy voting\n\nTreasury & Cash Operations
\n\n Create and review electronic payments (Wires and ACHs) for multiple legal entities, funds, and related accounts including payment reject resolution\n Ensure all payments are processed against various bank payment cutoffs\n Serve as backup for cash reconciliation, forecasting, sub line/internal note management, liquidity targeting and analysis, and money market investment/redemption\n\nReporting & Documentation
\n\n Flash and reconcile daily P&L to senior management\n Maintain the TMO Ops procedure manual, ensuring all processes are fully documented and up to date\n\nStrategic Projects
\n\n Participate in and lead ad hoc projects and business cases\n Provide analytical support to enhance financial decision-making processes\n\nWhat You Bring
\n\n 3+ years of middle office or fund operations experience (traditional middle office backgrounds are welcome)\n Exposure to derivatives including interest rate products, interest rate swaps (IRS), and swap options\n Repo and collateral experience is a strong plus but not required\n Extensive fixed income operations and settlements experience\n Technology skills are highly valued: Python, SQL, and/or experience with Snowflake and Sigma\n Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field\n Advanced Excel proficiency\n Knowledge of funding and capital markets\n Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organizational skills\n Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment\n Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently\n Ability to pick up new systems quickly and thrive in a technology-forward environment\n\n#48972
