**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour Evening, Night
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years required, 1 year acceptable in a larger trauma setting
**License:** Required and must be willing to wait for submission
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
**Must-Have:** Experience with managing ER holds, reading EKGs, and familiarity with RT equipment (Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow)
**Job Description:**
- Primary assignment will be based on department needs, with occasional requirements to work at other regional facilities as needed.
- Manage a range of emergency cases including cardiac, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory, abdominal pain, and mental health patients.
- Responsible for handling approximately 170-200 patients per day with ratios typically at 1:3, with low-acuity cases being 1:4.
- Utilize Epic charting system efficiently.
- Collaborate with ED Physicians, Mid-Levels, and charge nurses.
- Work alongside ED Techs, CNAs, and will receive support for 1:1 sitters in the department.
- Engage with in-house security as necessary and manage psych/seclusion rooms.
- Conduct patient transport in coordination with the radiology department.
- Perform phlebotomy and draw blood when required.
- Required to work every other weekend and cover departmental needs during holiday shifts.
- A comprehensive two-day orientation will be provided: include one day for compliance, education, and training, followed by a full day of department-specific orientation.
- Wear any professional scrub colors as per the dress code.
- No requirements for on-call or standby duties, but extra shifts are available voluntarily.
Note: No requests for time off during the first full week of the assignment will be considered.
