**Job Title:** ICU Travel Nurse

**Profession:** Registered Nurse

**Shift:** Nights

**Hours per Shift:** 12 hours

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred, excluding travel experience

**License:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing approved

**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required

**Must-Have:**
- Epic charting system experience
- Comfortable working a 48-hour week contract
- Experience with complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma
- Experience with IV medications including vasopressors, sedation, paralytics
- Experience with hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, telemetry
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Ability to work well in a team and fast-paced setting
- Preferably experienced with Impella, IABP, and CRRT

**Description:**

Join our ICU team as a travel nurse where you will care for a range of complex patients including those with ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-cardiac cath, post-surgical, and multiple system traumas. Your expertise in managing patients with critical needs such as those with cardiac backgrounds will be valuable. While cardiac experience is preferred, it is not a requirement. You will manage patient ratios of RN: 1:1, 1:2, or occasionally 1:3, depending on acuity. The unit provides strong support including nurse aides, charge nurses, phlebotomy services, and around-the-clock respiratory therapists and physicians.

Candidates must be comfortable floating to other adult floors when necessary, including Medsurg/Telemetry. Familiarity with operating ventilators and administering complex medications will be essential as you work alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.
