- Advanced certification in CT required within one year of employment
- Current competency in HCP BLS

**Must-Have:**
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science

**Job Description:**

- Conduct procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
- Use professional manners and methods for patient identification, verify identification, obtain patient history, and assist patients and family members requiring extra attention.
- Ensure patient understanding when possible, and take steps to guarantee patient safety.
- Ask and document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age.
- Obtain images per protocols, manipulate images according to protocols, and perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of CT algorithms and select appropriate window and level settings according to anatomy.
- Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols, establish intravenous lines, and administer IV contrast following proper injection procedures.
- Follow correct procedures to determine contrast eligibility and check appropriate lab values before contrast injection as per protocol.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of PACS, transmit images accurately, verify and segment images, and manage order completion, modification, or cancellation appropriately and timely.
- Ensure all charge and demographic information is accurate.
- Perform tasks timely, manage schedules to maintain consistent workflow, volunteer for challenging tasks, and produce quality diagnostic images.
- Review patient's chart and reports for correlation, maintain a clean and orderly work environment, and document incidents as improvement opportunities.
- Precept new employees and students.
