**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery (L&D) / Mother Baby

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-hour shifts (Day or Night)

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years

**License:** RN License required, must be willing to wait for processing

**Certifications:** Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

**Must-Have:** Ability to circulate C-Sections

**Job Description:**

- Combination of Labor and Delivery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery responsibilities
- Participate in care delivery for patients 20 weeks gestational age and up
- Responsible for stabilization and preparation for transport if necessary
- Work with a small L&D unit with 8 total beds (4 labor beds, 4 postpartum beds) and an 8-crib-capable nursery
- Use Centricity Fetal Monitoring System and EMR System
- Allocation of staff includes generally 1:1 for L&D, 1:4 couplets
- Ability to handle potential floating to MedSurg or ER as helping hands, if experienced and comfortable
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as part of the regular schedule
- Availability for potential on-call due to census variations
- Work with team to perform EKGs, breathing treatments, and other RT responsibilities
- Opportunity to work alongside providers and nurse midwives who may choose to stay in-house per staff request
- Orientation conducted on the unit with 2-3 shifts alongside a preceptor
- Participate in collaborative care across different settings, keeping delivery readiness as a priority
