**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week
**Experience:** Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
**License:** RN License in good standing
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
**Must-Have:**
- Experience in patient care
- Capability to work with ventilated patients and focus on early mobility
- Skills in monitoring and adjusting specialized equipment
**Job Description:**
- Provide care to a designated group of patients utilizing the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, and resources within the institution's philosophy.
- Perform all required responsibilities and duties specific to the scope of the unit's service.
- Implement procedures and theories relevant to the specific area of practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care provided.
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
- Modify care plans based on continuous evaluation.
- Ensure safety by reporting and addressing any hazards or incidents immediately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Offer constructive feedback to peers and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
- Utilize meaningful hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and communication tools like whiteboards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
- Monitor and interpret data from electronic displays related to intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, cardiac rhythms, and more.
