Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the supervision of the Nuclear Imaging Director, performs simple and complex radionuclide diagnostic procedures for patients ages adolescents through geriatric. Performs all calibrations and quality control on equipment andmaintainsaccuraterecords. Responsible formaintainingexpert technical and patient-care skills and provides quality diagnostic results. Responsible for supply/inventory management. Quality Improvementactivities,and the maintenance of a Radioactive Materials License. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Completion of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine training program.Current certification by NMTCB or ARRT (N).Mustmaintaincurrent registry.Attends continuing education activities tomaintainknowledge and skill level.Must maintain BLS, ACLS recommended.
- Completion of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine training program.Current certification by NMTCB or ARRT (N).
- Prefer 3-6 years recent hospital Nuclear Medicine experience including nuclear cardiology.Skillscommensuratewith formal training requirements.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Certificate
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
- Vocational School Graduate
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
