Here’s what you can expect on a typical day as a Maintenance Electrician on our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions:
- Safety: Safety is our number one priority. You’ll learn our plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training including lockout/tagout, housekeeping, and 5S standards.
- Quality: We take pride in our output, and you take pride in ensuring our equipment is running smoothly and safely.
- High-Speed, Loud Environment: We are a manufacturing facility with multiple loud pieces of machinery. Some areas of the plant get very warm in the summer.
- Hard work: Each day you’ll be bending, lifting, stooping to repair equipment. You will investigate the cause of line downtime and implement a fix. This can include replacing sensors, contacts, motors, and drives. You’ll work with PLC equipment, run power and ethernet lines, and troubleshoot high-voltage equipment. You are responsible for keeping your equipment in safe, usable condition and your area safe and tidy at all times.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Read, develop, and understand pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic documentation and drawings and interpret equipment data
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting skills, primarily in PLC motor controls and electrical equipment
- Perform PLC programming & diagnostics on various systems and troubleshoot electrical equipment such as relays, contactors, overloads, timers, photodetection & proximity switches or light curtains
- Strong understanding of Allen Bradley Control Systems – legacy and current systems
- Experience with Fanuc a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good mathematical and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Must be willing to occasionally work multiple shifts when necessary
