**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 7PM-7AM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36.00 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of general medical-surgical unit experience required
**License:** Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing
**Certifications:** BLS Certification from AHA
**Must-Have:**
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel
**Job Description:**
- Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality compassionate patient care
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Delegates, supervises, and documents care and teaching of patients and family
- Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions
- May be required to float to an equal or lower acuity unit if requested
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Highly preferred: At least one year of experience working on a surgical floor
- Floating: Candidates may be asked to float, location is acuity adaptable.
