**Experience:** ICU experience required, Neurosurgery experience preferred. Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years. Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient populations.

**License:** Nursing license from the state or compact license from the permanent address state.

**Certifications:** BLS & ACLS certifications through American Heart Association ONLY. Basic Arrhythmia experience required.

**Must-Have:** Traveler's permanent address must be over 50 miles from assigned primary worksite location.

**Description:**
We are seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse to work in a recently renovated 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit, offering care for both Intermediate Care (IMC) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) level patients. The RN will provide care to adult patients with various neurology, neurosurgical, and stroke conditions, including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysms, and other neurovascular diseases. The role involves utilizing strong critical thinking skills and administering interventions like vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, drains, and frequent assessments. The RN will work with a dynamic and supportive team of nurses who are integral to nationally recognized neuroscience programs committed to providing expert care.

Travelers will be the first to float and may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on current staffing needs. If the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be reassigned to complete the contract. Weekend rotations and some holidays required. Qualified candidates will join a facility recognized for excellence in healthcare and education, offering a comprehensive orientation program.
