Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
Additional Preferences

MUST ALREADY HAVE ACLS AND PALS

Candidate needs to have at least 1 year emergency room experience or critical care experience.

Has a strong ability to critical think, facilitate care in emergency type settings and can clearly communicate.

Strong working skill and understanding of titration of emergency drips, and heart physiology knowledge.

Eager and energetic.

This is a Part time 2-12 hour 0700-1930 shift position with a weekend rotation of every 3rd weekend, self scheduling, flexible person. The PT position requires a summer and winter holiday rotation, along with a hard to staff day.
