**Must-Have:**
- Positivity and adaptability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, close-knit unit
**Job Description:**
- Work in a 48-bed community hospital with ICU, Med-Surg, and birthing center units.
- Patient care includes individuals aged 10+ without requiring PALS certification.
- Responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as DKA, cardiac dysrhythmias, respiratory failure, post-operative recovery, and more.
- ICU patient ratio: RN 1:3, Tech 1:10 based on acuity.
- Med/Tele patient ratio: RN 1:6, Tech 1:10 based on acuity.
- Collaborate with a 24/7 RT team for respiratory management and hospitalists/doctors for medical management.
- Use Cerner, Alaris, and Pyxis for charting and medication management.
- Required skills include critical care and cardiac drips, rhythm interpretation, vent management, wound care, and general drains management.
- Perform as a charge nurse if needed and have experience with Tele nursing requirements.
- No on-call duties; weekend and holiday rotations may apply.
- Orientation includes charting system review and preceptor training.
**Support on the Unit:**
- Charge nurse with full patient assignment.
- Phlebotomy for peripheral lab draws.
- Anesthesia team available for line placement.
- Collaborate with RT, hospitalist physicians, and ED physicians.
- Flexibility to float to other areas or provide support as needed, including post-op care.
**Orientation and Training:**
- 3 days for facility orientation and system review, plus 2 days of preceptor-led unit training.
- Additional Cerner training may be provided if necessary.
