**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Labor & Delivery

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** 1-2 years (consideration given to those with travel experience)

**License:** Current RN License

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE

**Must-Have:**

- Iowa SING Background Check (Criminal and Child Abuse portions required)
- All background checks must be fully cleared before starting
- Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult)
- 10-panel drug screening, including opiates
- Recent titers within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)

**Job Description:**

- Provide high-quality nursing care in Labor & Delivery.
- Manage patient ratios effectively (e.g., active labor 1:1, Couplet Care: 3:1).
- Utilize intermediate fetal monitoring and Philips Tracevue.
- Work within an EHR system (Meditech).
- Float to other units within the hospital as needed.
- Deliver individualized, seamless care to patients and offer supportive care to families.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of medical professionals.
- Adapt to the needs of varying patient populations, including adult and pediatric care.
- Follow dress code requirements, allowing flexibility in scrub color.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive personality fit with the team.
