**Must-Have:** Advanced Registered CT Tech, High volume and acuity level experience

**Job Description:**
- Perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
- Operate CT Scanners and related equipment proficiently, including scanner, post-processing stations, IV contrast injectors, and patient monitoring equipment.
- Examine requests and verify orders for each patient, consulting with the Radiologist and ordering provider as necessary.
- Identify patients using two identifiers and provide brief explanations of procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures with full explanations and document on appropriate worksheets.
- Interview patients to obtain complete medical history and review electronic medical records for pertinent clinical history.
- Correlate other test results and laboratory data with the exam being performed.
- Administer IV contrast following departmental protocols and record type and amount when requested.
- Evaluate the quality of images and consult with a Radiologist if needed.
- Recognize abnormal anatomy and process additional images or measurements as required.
- Inform nursing personnel of any changes in patient condition and initiate life support measures when necessary.
- Assist in code blue procedures during medical emergencies and support Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
- Practice proper sterile technique and perform invasive procedures according to infection control policies.
- Ensure radiation safety for self, employees, patients, and family members.
- Report malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate manager and clinical engineering staff.
- Operate the radiology computer system for entering orders and charging procedures/supplies.
- Document contrast administration in the medication administration record.
- Maintain assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Assist other medical personnel during exams or services in conjunction with a CT scan.

This position requires physical efforts such as lifting and moving patients and equipment. The role involves walking, standing, sitting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling during operations, with a focus on radiation safety, MRI safety, and ergonomics to ensure a safe environment.
