**Job Description:**
- Provide care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with 35 beds.
- Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 for adult and geriatric populations.
- Work with patients dealing with cardiac issues, nephrology, strokes, diabetes, and those requiring continuous EEG monitoring.
- Required to titrate drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications.
- Collaborate with a charge nurse available on each shift.
- Support from nurse aides/patient care techs in a 1:10 or 2:20 ratio.
- Shift schedule includes 0630-1900 and 1830-0700, with weekend and holiday requirements every third.
- Potentially float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units as needed.
- Initial onboarding followed by 1-2 days of specific floor orientation.
- Utilize EPIC for charting.
- Trauma Level 2 care setting in an acute division.
