**Certifications:**
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS preferred

**Must-Have:** Neuro and Tele experience highly preferred, preferred EPIC experience, and familiarity with SpaceLabs and Philips monitors.

**Job Description:**
- Work in the Cardio Pulmonary Unit with a focus on medical surgical patients.
- Care for patients with common diagnoses such as CV, strokes, sepsis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, COVID, chest tubes, and post-cath lab patients.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5, with a possibility of flexing to 6.
- Collaborate with charge nurses and team lead RNs who do not take patient assignments.
- Work with nurse aides/patient care techs with a ratio of 1:8.
- Utilize all RT equipment except ventilators and manage fresh tracheostomy patients after ICU/IMCU stay.
- Read and interpret telemetry/monitor data.
- Schedule is 7 AM to 7 PM with weekend and holiday requirements based on unit needs.
- Possibility of floating to other medical and surgical floors as needed.
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with white/navy/black undershirts. Navy scrub jackets are allowed, but no sweatpants or hoodies.
- Participate in 2-3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation.
- Facility has a 50-mile radius rule for candidates' permanent address.

**Additional Notes:**
- LPNs work independently, and RNs sign off on their work.
- Travelers may extend their assignments, and some have transitioned to permanent positions.
- Candidates must reside outside a specified radius for consideration.
