**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in NICU

**License:** Required to submit

**Certifications:** NRP, BLS

**Must-Have:**
- EPIC experience 100% required
- Ability to care for gestations down to 23 weeks
- Experience with all respiratory equipment
- Use of feeding pumps

**Job Description:**

- Work in a Level 3 NICU with 20 beds.
- Patient ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity and staffing.
- Care for extremely premature/premature patients, BPD, HIE, feeding intolerance, respiratory support, sepsis/meningitis.
- Titrate drips, including BP drugs, TPN/D10, and Insulin.
- Collaborate with both Charge Nurse and House Supervisor.
- Neonatologist support is available via ARNP/PA.
- Utilize RT equipment such as HFOV, HFJV, Conventional vent, CPAP, HFNC, NC.
- Nurses read strips, tele on this unit.
- Shifts and scheduling consist of 3-12s per week over 4-week schedules.
- Weekend work may be requested; requirements individualized per contract.
- Possible holiday work.
- Standby may occur if not needed.
- Floating to pediatrics is required to care for NICU graduates or be a 1:1 sitter for behavioral health patients.
- Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs.
- Unit-specific orientation provided with 1-2 shifts of orientation.
- Cancellation policy allows for 1 shift per 2-week period.
- Use of EpicCare Inpatient EMR system.
- Trauma Level 3 care setting.
