**Shift:** 12H Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years

**License:** Required

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS (Chemo certification is a bonus)

**Must-Have:**
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Strong central line experience
- Compassionate care skills
- Enjoy teaching and spending time with patients

**Job Description:**
- Work in a MedSurg/Oncology unit with 27 beds
- Care for a patient ratio of 1:5 for MedSurg and 1:4 for Chemo/Telemetry patients
- Utilize remote telemetry monitored by techs
- Benefit from a Charge Nurse and a Resource Nurse each shift
- Collaborate with in-house hospitalists available 24/7
- No acute strokes, acute cardiac conditions, or patients on drips
- Handle general medical surgical patients, GYN, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, some spine and joint cases
- Includes 7 private oncology suites, where patients might have a history of cancer but may not be on active chemotherapy
- No responsibility for expensive equipment like vents
- Orientation consists of one Cerner shift if needed and two shifts of unit-specific training
- Work alongside pharmacy staff available 24/7
- Position includes no call duties and requires no weekend on-call availability
- Floating to other MedSurg units may be required
- Hospital may cancel up to three times per contract, either a full shift or any part of a shift, with the potential for pay for the scheduled hours
