**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week

**License:** NC or Compact License Required by Start Date
**Certifications:** ACLS, BCLS, NIH
**Must-Have:** IV Start, Telemetry Skills
**Job Description:**
- Travel rate is available for local travelers starting on or before the specified date.
- Requests for time off after booking are not allowed and cannot be negotiated onsite.
- Call-offs or additional time off could lead to contract cancellation.
- Responsibilities include Pre/Post Cath, Pre/Post PPM & AICD, Watchmen Procedures, Stress Tests, Management of Arterial & Venous Sheaths, TIA population, Carotid Stent Patient Management, Card-Tele, Management of Arrhythmias, and management of cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI patients.
- The unit is a 24-bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit with a rapid patient turnover and average length of stay being 1.8-2.4 days.
- Staffing ratios are 1:5-6.
- The role involves floating to similar units as needed.
- Work schedule involves 4 weekend shifts per each 6-week schedule.
- The unit has an ADT nurse available Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times.
- Absences must be compensated by extending contract duration, not additional workdays.
- EKG Testing must be passed prior to the start for this specialty.
- Requires working 2 out of 3 major holidays, and no time off is allowed during the first week.
- Familiarity with Epic charting system is required or should be noted.
- Candidates must be comfortable with floating based on the job description.
- Orientation involves 8 non-billable hours.
- Acquaintance with rapid patient transition systems is beneficial.
- Involvement in special procedures and handling cardiac telemetry is expected.
- Acceptance of first-time travelers is based on skill verification.
