**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-hour nights

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience

**License:** Required

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC

**Must-Have:** Will accept a traveler with 1 year of experience in larger trauma settings.

**Job Description:**

- Provide patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment.
- Handle a range of common diagnoses, including cardiac issues, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory issues, abdominal pain, and mental health.
- Manage patient ratios of 1:3, or 1:4 for low acuity patients.
- Participate in a separate triage process, taking a triage test if necessary.
- Manage ER holds and collaborate with inpatient RNs.
- Work with a team that includes ED Physicians, Mid-Levels, Charge Nurses, House Supervisors, ED Techs, CNAs, and patient sitters.
- Utilize Epic for electronic medical records.
- Manage RT equipment, with RTs handling ABGs and breathing treatments.
- Collaborate with adjacent radiology department and utilize transport as needed.
- Conduct nurse or ED Tech phlebotomy draws, with lab assistance for difficult draws.
- Adhere to the shift and scheduling requirements per department needs.
- Fulfill every other weekend and holiday requirements, depending on departmental staffing.
- Complete a 1-day compliance orientation and a 2nd-day department-specific orientation.
- Wear professional colors per the dress code policy.
