**Shift:** 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** 1 year of pediatric experience required
**License:** Registered Nurse Licensure
**Certifications:** AHA BLS and PALS
**Must-Have:** One year of pediatric experience; Epic access needed
**Job Description:**
- No travel pairs or duos.
- Blocked scheduling and self-scheduling allowed, with manager adjustments as needed to fill unit needs.
- Work every third weekend and rotate holidays with staff.
- Unit comprises 48 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 Med Surg.
- Potential floating between three pediatric units, NICU, PICU, or Peds ER within skill set.
- No drips; usage of Cpap and Bipap.
- Dedicated respiratory therapist during high census; RT dedicated to three pediatric floors.
- Common diagnoses include renal and med surg conditions.
- Required to wear navy or pediatric print top with navy bottoms.
- Unit orientation consists of 2 to 3 shifts.
- First to float in staffing adjustments.
- Optional on-call.
- Holiday expectations include working one major and one minor holiday.
