**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Emergency Room (ER)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-hour shifts; all shifts based on unit needs, every other weekend, first to float

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of ER experience

**License:** Required for submission

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, TNCC

**Must-Have:** Experience in mental health, ETOH, and overdoses

**Job Description:**

- Participate in a structured orientation and start one rotation on the start date.
- Be available to work as per scheduling terms, which may include switching shifts with advanced notice.
- Efficiently handle common diagnoses such as CP, COPD, DKA, trauma, and stroke.
- Utilize Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR for documentation.
- Collaborate with dedicated charge nurses and house supervisors.
- Work alongside ED Techs and sitters as nurse aides/paramedics.
- Operate and understand RT equipment including Vents, Cpap, BiPap, and High Flow; RT performs ABGs, breathing treatments, and EGS's.
- Manage patients in rooms equipped with SpaceLabs monitors with the support of a 24/7 monitor tech.
- Access on-site X-Ray and CT facilities and transport as needed.
- Have separate triage and psych seclusion rooms available for patient management.
- Work every other weekend and have a flexible holiday schedule with at least one major holiday off.
- Follow a cancellation policy allowing one shift per 12 weeks or two shifts for 13-18 week assignments.
- Adhere to flexible dress code guidelines, consisting of any scrubs, without uniform requirements.
- No floating requirements necessary during the duration of the assignment.
