**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week

**Experience:** One year of relevant experience; new graduates may be considered based on availability

**License:** Current Nursing License

**Certifications:** BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred

**Must-Have:** Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate Degree or Diploma

**Job Description:**

- Responsible for the delivery of care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Interact effectively with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- Utilize the nursing process by demonstrating appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, as evidenced by client/staff observation.
- Provide appropriate health information to patients/significant others in a timely manner and share written informational material.
- Perform direct patient care using established procedures, policies, and standards.
- Assist patients, family members, or clients with concern and empathy; respect their confidentiality and privacy, and communicate in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
- Support other staff in the performance of their assignments.
- Recognize the need for variations in staffing and volunteer to fill open shifts.
- Demonstrate flexibility by taking on cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.
- Make sound judgments and take appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns.
- Treat all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
- Cooperate fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.

The job involves daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood or other body fluids. Holiday coverage is required.
