Job Summary and Qualifications

The Sonographer performs a variety of ultrasound and/or echocardiography exams and technical procedures that require rational, independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative in performing standard examinations in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. They shall take call as necessary, assist in transporting and positioning patients while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality. They shall demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. They shall perform their job and maintain a high quality of care with an emphasis on productivity, efficiency, customer service, and customer satisfaction.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current registration from ARDMS.

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasonography.

  • Advanced certification in vascular preferred.
