Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-Hour Nights

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN

License: RN license required

Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Must-Have:
- 1 or more years of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Experience at a very large medical center with high-acuity patients
- Comfortable with lines, chest tubes
- EPIC charting experience required

Job Description:
- Start date: 12/19/2024
- Unit: MedSurg 6 South
- MUST START BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND WORK THE HOLIDAYS
- Fingerprint requirement for in-person process
- Flu vaccine mandatory with medical exemption
- Flexible with holiday time-off requests
- RNs rotated for holiday coverage
- ratios typically 1:5 up to 1:6
- Required to titrate drips: heparin, amio
- Tele monitors on the unit with RNs reading their own strips
- Charge nurse/house supervisor available
- Nurse aids present on all units
- RT equipment including Cpap, Bipap, vents available
- 12-hour shifts, block scheduling possible
- Weekend requirements every other weekend
- Holiday rotation and no call or standby required
- Floating within skill set across Med Surg units
- Scrubs provided, any solid color professional attire allowed
- Unit-specific orientation with Epic Systems Corporation charting system
