**Must-Have:**

- Completion of a respiratory therapy program from an accredited school
- Current National Board of Respiratory Care credentials (if credentialed after July 1, 2002)
- Basic electronic medical record documentation skills
- Understanding of drug-free workplace policies
- Physical ability to lift, move, and position patients

**Job Description:**

- Administer respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by a physician, appropriate for all ages with an emphasis on adult care.
- Follow evidence-based policies and comply with hospital standards.
- Deliver medical gases, medications, airway clearance, and mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor and manage levels of supplies and equipment in department and patient care areas.
- Apply theoretical knowledge in the care of pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.
- Perform life-sustaining interventions during emergencies, managing the airway and mechanical ventilation.
- Administer specialized medical gases such as Nitrogen, Heliox, and Nitric Oxide.
- Continuously assess patient responses to adjust therapies as needed, documenting interventions and outcomes appropriately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in intensive care and intermediate care settings.
- Uphold and promote the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
