**Shift:** Day Shift, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM; every other weekend; 2 major and 2 minor holidays

**Experience:** Less than 1 year; direct patient care experience preferred

**License:** Registered Nurse (Single State or Multi-state Compact)

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:** Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours, strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, ability to function in a fast-paced environment, and excellent time management skills.

**Job Description:**

- Act as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality, safe patient care.
- Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment, diagnosis, and care planning, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
- Deliver patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and population-specific characteristics.
- Collaborate effectively with patients and their significant others to make care decisions and ensure care goals are prioritized.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation while promoting an inclusive and respectful clinical environment.
- Support and engage in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance.
- Mentor and precept other nurses and staff to cultivate a qualified workforce.
- Advocate for the use of evidence-based practices, nursing research, and performance improvement.
- Plan for patient care across the continuum to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Support efficient use of resources in delivering patient care.
- Comply with all healthcare system policies, regulatory standards, and professional association guidelines.
