**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Shift:** 12-hour Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM)

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week

**Experience:** Current unencumbered RN license

**License:** Graduation from an accredited nursing program

**Certifications:** ACLS and EKG interpretation competency

**Must-Have:**
- Ability to construct and implement an age-appropriate plan of care
- Demonstrated competency in patient-centered care, teamwork, and collaboration
- Proven skills in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, safety, and informatics

**Job Description:**

- Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
- Demonstrate service excellence standards consistently.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide professional leadership and support.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate an age-appropriate plan of care using clinical skills and patient education.
- Maintain professional behavior when addressing issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources.
- Create a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and employees, assessing risks to patient safety and implementing necessary precautions.
- Comply with approved standards and safety and injury prevention guidelines.
- Involve the patient's family in care assessment and construct plans of care using nursing knowledge and skills.
- Coordinate the implementation of interdisciplinary care plans, developing goals, treatment, and discharge plans.
- Complete hourly rounds to improve communication, safety, and patient needs anticipation.
- Engage in bedside reporting to address care concerns and progress with patients and families.
- Provide patients with caregiver contact information each shift; ensure care is respectful of patient values in clinical decision-making.
- Lead or participate in design and implementation of teamwork-supportive systems.
- Utilize evidence-based practice for clinical reasoning and comprehensive patient care.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by documenting nursing processes and participating in interdisciplinary evaluations.
- Follow safety policies to enhance patient safety and report errors to promote preventative improvements.
- Navigate electronic health records accurately and ensure data confidentiality.
- Make patient care decisions independently, utilizing team member skills effectively, and coordinate medical and nursing interventions to achieve positive outcomes.
