**Must-Have:** BSN
**Job Description:**
- Work in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU unit with 34 beds.
- Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 in ICU and 1:4 in PCU.
- Care for adults and patients over 15 years old with conditions such as respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, general surgery, and more.
- Gain experience with ICU equipment including CVPs, Alines, Swans, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, Zoll -Thermoguard, and Bell Mont rapid transfuser.
- Titrate drips, including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics.
- Participate actively in Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) and Codes.
- Collaborate with a charge nurse who does not take an assignment.
- Assist with RT equipment ranging from nasal cannula to vents.
- Interpret centralized telemetry monitoring using Draeger heart monitors.
- Follow the unit's schedule, which is set by management, and fulfill weekend and holiday requirements as needed.
- Be prepared to float to all inpatient units, except Maternity/NICU.
- Wear Navy Blue scrubs.
- Complete 2 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation.
- Exhibit attributes such as the ability to ask questions, a positive attitude, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to help others.
- Engage in a team environment working alongside attendings and student providers to deliver high-quality care.
