**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Telemetry Float Pool

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** 12-Hour Days, 4 Weekend Shifts/Schedule; First to Float, Could Float to Sister Facility

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 Years Required

**License:** Active RN License Required

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:** Ability to Titrate Cardiac Drips

**Job Description:**

- Auto offer available upon prescreening.
- Travelers required to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start (within two attempts), within 48 hours of offer.
- There is a pass/fail simulation lab on the first day of orientation; study guides provided with first-day instructions. Failure will result in termination.
- RNs will float between Tele and MedSurg units; potential floating to ICU, Cardiac Tele, and any holding area.
- Floating includes facilities located within 9 miles of each other; travel time estimated at 15 minutes.
- Notification of campus and unit assignment provided 1.5 hours prior to shift start; mid-shift floating possible.
- Floor orientation includes two days on the floor.
- Common patient diagnoses include post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, post-CABG, neuro post-surgical, general tele, ortho, surgical, and oncology.
- Utilized gear includes centralized tele monitoring, GE Monitors, and spectralink phones.
- Hospital support includes hospitalists, clinical supervisors, pharmacy, RT available 24/7, and a SWAT nurse for hard IV sticks.
- Weekend work required, and rotation through major and minor holidays is necessary.
- Charge nurse available; no patient assignments.
- Nurses must have the ability to interpret EKGs.

- Floor-specific orientational support provided
- Collaborative team environment with support from techs, charge nurses, and clinical supervisors.
