**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day Shift
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
**License:** Valid Registered Nurse License
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
**Must-Have:**
- Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
**Job Description:**
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participate in identifying and meeting personal learning needs.
- Attend educational programs based on identified learning needs.
- Use patient education materials relevant to patient populations.
- Assess readiness to learn and developmental level of patients and caregivers.
- Identify expected patient outcomes and revise plans of care as needed.
- Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care.
- Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required.
- Utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care.
- Organize and prioritize care based on patient and family needs.
- Consult appropriate resources for patients with complex care issues and discharge planning.
- Develop goals for professional growth and collaborate in achieving unit goals.
- Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
- Recognize data from complex situations to determine care priorities.
- Collaborate with patients and families to prepare or update plans of care.
- Address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care.
- Participate in evidence-based practices and high-quality care for adult post-surgical patients with specific GI conditions.
- Manage complex wound care, nutritional support, and multiple tube/drain care.
