**Job Description:**
- Responsible for assembling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and storing procedure and surgical trays, as well as equipment.
- Assemble, distribute, and deliver disposable and durable medical equipment, case carts, and supplies for the Operating Room, Nursing Units, and Ancillary Departments.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment.
- Disassemble carts, following Universal Precautions for decontamination.
- Sterilize and disinfect medical equipment and instruments, package clean supplies, maintain instrument records, and transport sterilized items.
- Assemble sterilized instruments and recheck for cleanliness and functionality, ensuring proper operation of power equipment.
- Facilitate easy instrument tracking, following labeling processes, and report/document missing instruments and implants.
- Communicate inventory status with the Central Processing staff and Surgery Charge Nurse, including order updates.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations, ensuring all emergency, trauma, and additional cases are supplied and delivered to the Operating Room promptly.
- Utilize technology effectively to facilitate accurate record-keeping in compliance with regulations.
- Provide on-the-job training to newly hired associates in the department.
- Promote organizational mission, vision, and values while adhering to service behavior standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with potential movement to other departments based on need and within competency.
- Be prepared to be placed on-call during regularly scheduled shifts if required.

**Skills Required:**
- Ability to communicate effectively and work within a multi-functional team.
- Experience and understanding of computer use, including learning relevant software for Sterile Processing.
- Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and work nights and/or weekends when necessary.
