**Job Title:** Respiratory Therapist

- Successful completion of a respiratory therapy program from an accredited school
- Basic electronic medical record documentation skills
- Ability to produce a negative drug screen

**Job Description:**

- Work according to evidence-based policies and procedures.
- Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by a physician.
- Deliver care that is appropriate for all patient ages, with advanced knowledge of the adult population.
- Administer medical gases, medications, airway clearance, and mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor supplies and equipment for patient care areas.
- Demonstrate competence in respiratory skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Perform activities per orders, catering to general floors, intermediate units, ICU, and the emergency department.
- Undertake life-sustaining interventions during emergent situations.
- Respond to emergency calls and manage airways.
- Initiate and manage various modes of mechanical ventilation.
- Administer medications and specialty medical gases.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of therapy and recommend changes as needed.
- Document interventions and patient responses per regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in critical care units.
- Adhere to corporate philosophy and promote company values and mission.

**Physical & Mental Requirements:**

- Lift objects weighing up to 60 pounds daily.
- Stand for up to 4 hours consecutively.
- Stooping, bending, reaching, and manual dexterity.
- Push/pull equipment with required force.
- Lift and position patients as needed.
- Proofread and check documents for accuracy.
