**Job Title:** Radiologic Technologist

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 8, 10-Hour Nights (5 days of 8 hours or 4 days of 10 hours)

**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of imaging-related experience preferred

**License:** Active Radiologic Technologist License required

**Certifications:**
- ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Basic Life Support Certification

**Must-Have:**
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the field of radiology
- Developed verbal and written communication skills required
- Strong interpersonal skills

**Job Description:**

- Perform radiologic procedures with all x-ray equipment as requested by a physician.
- Introduce yourself to patients and fully explain the exam prior to the start of the exam.
- Obtain proper patient history, including previous allergic reactions, history of allergies, menstrual history, and other information pertinent to patient safety, as well as necessary clinical information.
- Position patients in the x-ray equipment for each view using the proper technique to reduce radiation exposure, while utilizing proper shielding, collimation, and immobilization devices as indicated for each age-specific group.
- Inform and explain to patients any delays of more than 15 minutes from the scheduled appointment time.
- Keep assigned work areas clean and stocked, checking emergency kits, oxygen, and suction, and report any low supplies to the tech in charge. Replace any supplies used during a procedure immediately after completing an exam.
- Practice sterile technique when required for a procedure and assist the radiologist during all fluoroscopy and special procedures.
- Process patients through the hospital and radiology information system and effectively utilize the PACS system.
- Review bulletin boards and mailboxes daily for important information, new policies, procedures, or general information.
- Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
