**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Cardiac Catheterization Lab Staff

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** Days; 48 hours per week; 4x12 Hour Shifts

**Guaranteed Hours:** 48 per week

**Experience:** 2 years required, 5 years preferred

**License:** RN license required

**Certifications:** CPR, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG

**Must-Have:** Travel experience required

**Job Description:**

- Assess and reassess young adult, adult, and elderly patients.
- Apply the nursing process with attention to specialized procedures/equipment.
- Demonstrates basic competency in cardiac monitoring and care for patients undergoing interventional cardiac procedures.
- Provide care for patients with vascular closure devices: application, maintenance, and removal.
- Manage arterial and venous sheaths, including maintenance and removal.
- Use ACT machine, Angioseal/Vasoseal, and minimal sedation.
- Ensure safe delivery of moderate sedation following safety guidelines.
- Assist with transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) using safety protocols.
- Perform Bubble method when needed during TEE.
- Manage patient pain, reassess, and follow up on pain management strategies.
- Conduct blood draws and manage lab order for the draw.
- Administer IV therapy, IV ADD, and infusion of blood and blood products.
- Manage information and perform synchronized cardioversion.
- Assist with ICDs, pacemakers (temporary and permanent), and pre/post care and recovery.
- Assist with vascular procedures such as IVC filters, run-offs, acute and chronic occlusions.
- Assist with peripheral balloons, stents, and thermodilution and invasive monitoring.
- Support IVUS procedures and interventional radiology procedures.
- Assist in FFR procedures and electrophysiology EP procedures.
- Help with RF ablations, cryoablations, and intra-aortic balloon pump procedures.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump.
- Assist in loop recorder insertion and laser procedures.
- Implement synchronized cardioversion/defibrillation.
- Responsibly manage anaphylactic reactions using an anaphylactic kit.
- Monitor MAC Lab System.

This position requires a dedicated RN with associate’s degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred) and relevant certifications. Fluency in English is essential (speak, read, write). We seek motivated individuals with travel experience and a passion for cardiac care.
