**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Level 1

**Job Specialty:** Acute Care - Med/Surg

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** Rotational Day/Evening/Night/Weekends/Holidays

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per week + 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks

**Experience:** One (1) Year Experience in Med/Surg Environment as a Registered Nurse

**License:** RN Licensure

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:** Compliance with infection prevention strategies

**Job Description:**

- Apply nursing knowledge and skills in the delivery of care to patients.
- Assess patient and family needs through active listening and data analysis.
- Develop culturally relevant, individualized plans of care in collaboration with the patient, family, physician, and healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Promote, advocate for, and protect the health, safety, and rights of patients.
- Encourage teamwork among members to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
- Teach and delegate tasks consistent with education, training, and scope of practice.
- Motivate patients and families by teaching them what is needed for continued care at home.
- Evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to initiate improvements in care delivery.
- Engage in self-evaluation and pursue professional development opportunities.
- Foster meaningful connections with patients and families, ensuring they are central to care and services.
- Create a healing environment that reflects professional nursing practice.
- Demonstrate skill in the application of interventions, including medication administration.
- Be aware of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and practice appropriate precautions.
