**Job Title:** Sterile Processing Technician

**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours per Week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 Years

**License:** Active Scrub Tech Certification

**Certifications:** BLS Certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)

**Must-Have:**
- At least one successfully completed 13-week travel assignment
- Experience in a large OR; Ortho, ENT, and/or vascular experience is a plus
- Team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment

**Job Description:**
- Perform duties of decontamination, assembly, high-level disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments for the OR and other hospital departments and clinics.
- Follow established policies and standard work procedures.
- Prioritize tasks as directed to support patient care for the OR and customer departments.
- Document, monitor, and maintain accurate records demonstrating high-level disinfection and sterilization in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Perform other required functions as needed.
- Night shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including weekend rotations. Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.
- On-call duties, weekends, and holidays may be required. Travelers are the first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of the assigned location.
- Participate in orientation during the first week, not exceeding 40 total hours, which includes EPIC training.
- Scrubs required.

**Additional Information:**
- Holiday time-off requests will not be approved for travelers.
- Must not have been employed by the health system in the past 12 months to qualify for a travel position.
- Accurate SS# and DOB is essential for onboarding.

Note: Bilingual skills are not required, and holiday coverage is required.
