**Experience:** Minimum of 2+ years as a hospital staff pharmacist (Pediatric experience preferred)

**License:** Valid, unrestricted RPH - Pharmacist license from the state of Texas

**Certifications:** Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree, 40 hours of training in compounding sterile products accredited by relevant bodies preferred

**Must-Have:** Proficiency in the EPIC system, ability to speak, read, and write in English

**Job Description:**

- Promote pharmaceutical care by managing medication processes.
- Identify and prevent potential drug-related problems and resolve actual drug-related issues.
- Ensure the appropriateness of medication doses considering patient diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions.
- Accurately enter medication orders in the computer system.
- Ensure patients receive correct medications, avoiding dispensing errors.
- Process medication orders and deliver doses within established guidelines.
- Follow aseptic technique and infection control in the preparation of sterile products.
- Insist on proper aseptic technique and infection control by technicians and other pharmacists.
- Complete annual re-certification, scoring at least 90% on aseptic technique/infection control skills and written exams.

This role is suited for a licensed pharmacist who is dedicated to ensuring safe and accurate medication management for patients.
