**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Shift:** 12-hour Evenings

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years ER experience with at least 1 year in a Trauma Level 1 facility

**License:** Must be licensed to practice

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS (Preferred: TNCC and ATCN)

**Must-Have:** Cerner EMR experience

**Job Description:**

- Medical Solutions pre-screens candidates.
- Clinical staff recommend auto offer; candidates must pass required exams.
- No first-time travelers.
- Must have at least 8 months of Trauma Level 1 experience.
- Required to float between multiple ER facilities approximately 30 minutes apart.
- Day 1 pass/fail exam available with study guide.
- SIMs Lab completion required for skills such as Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion for ED.
- Competency in maintaining sterile fields is essential.
- Additional training includes lifts, restraints, and wound care.
- Unit Details: Acute - 36 beds, Subacute - 54 beds, 6 trauma bays.
- Required to work 4 weekend shifts per month at the unit's discretion.
- Navy scrubs required.
- Telemetry: Must be able to read strips, Phillips monitors used.
- Managed Care: Vents managed by Respiratory Therapists (RT).
- Hospitalist or intensivists always in-house, with mid-level practitioners available.
- Core RNs are ultrasound trained.
- RT and Pharmacy services available 24/7.
- Common patient diagnoses include trauma, burns, and certain pediatric cases transferred out.
- Approximately 88,000 patients per year, with 250-300 seen daily.
- Sensitive to psych holds, which range between 30-40 cases.
