**Job Duration:** 26 weeks (preferred but not required)
**Shift:** 7P-7A, 12-hour night shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 48
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience required
**License:** Current RN license
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:**
- Neuro and Trauma experience
- Ventilator management
- Critical care drips/titration
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Measuring cardiac strips
- Experience with drains, chest tubes, hemodynamic lines (art lines/CVP)
- Stroke experience

**Job Description:**

- Float Pool RNs will float between all levels of care appropriate to their experience
- Care for multispecialty critical care patients including Medical/Surgical, Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Interventional
- Required to handle common diagnoses like Stroke, ICP monitoring, EVD Drains, spinal precautions, DKA, Sepsis, Multisystem trauma, COVID, STEMI, NSTEMI, and heart failure
- May float to ER Hold/Obs to care for MedSurg level patients and Stepdown units as needed
- Typical patient ratios: 1:2 based on acuity; may include a 3rd patient if another is being downgraded; ED Hold/Obs ratios: 1:4-5 based on acuity
- Provide shared responsibility for phlebotomy with other RNs
- Work in collaboration with a full support team including CNAs, charge nurse, Resource Nurse, House Supervisor, RT, Hospitalist, Cardiovascular Surgery team, Intensivist, and therapy departments
- Expected participation in weekend rotations and holiday shifts with manager approval
- Flexibility to wear professional scrubs in any color
