Must-Have: Level 1 trauma and Siemens experience, MA CT license, and ARRT (CT) certification

Job Description:

- Operate CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure patients are properly prepared, positioned, immobilized, and use protective shielding as needed.
- Explain exams to patients while considering their physical and emotional needs, maintaining ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
- Deliver patient care within the scope of license and training.
- Maintain effective working relations and communication with departmental and hospital personnel.
- Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment daily, reporting any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Execute necessary paperwork and Radiology Information System functions for each patient exam.
- Perform venipuncture for contrast administration following departmental policies and procedures.
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintain CEUs according to state licensure and ARRT requirements.
- Instruct various personnel and technology students within the department as needed.
- Prepare equipment, room, and supplies necessary for patient exams and daily use.
- Acknowledge and participate in research programs, quality assurance, and quality improvement projects within the department.
- Provide on-call coverage and maintain flexibility in shift coverage as needed.
- Rotate within departments and divisions, cooperating with personnel to promote departmental harmony.
- Transport and transfer patients using established procedures.
- Use independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative under pressure when performing patient exams.
- Perform all other duties as directed.

Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology and meet ARRT CT certification requirements. Interpersonal and analytical skills are essential.
