**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-hour Days, Every Other Weekend, First to Float

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years

**License:** Valid RN License

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS (Chemo certification is a bonus)

**Must-Have:**
- Strong central line experience
- Compassionate care approach
- Enjoy teaching and spending time with patients

**Job Description:**
- Unit specializes in MedSurg and Oncology with Telemetry
- 27-bed unit with various patient types, including GYN, appendix, cholecystectomy, some spine cases, some joints
- Patient ratios: 1 to 5 for MedSurg, 1 to 4 for Chemotherapy/Telemetry
- Utilizes Cerner EMR system
- Shift managed by Nurse Shift Managers who do not take patient assignments
- Resource nurses available to assist with tasks and breaks
- Nurse Aides: Target of 2 per shift
- Weekend requirement: One weekend shift every two weeks
- Requires working two major holidays and one minor holiday
- Uniform: Navy scrubs
- Remote telemetry monitored by techs
- No ventilators on unit
- 24/7 in-house hospitalist and pharmacy support
- No dedicated IV team, but assistance available for PICC and midlines
- Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
- Floating to other MedSurg units as needed
- Floor-specific orientation: One shift on Cerner if needed, and two shifts on the units
- Common diagnosis/types of patients: general medical-surgical, patients aged 15+ can be treated, no acute strokes or cardiac, no drips required
- Prefer nurses with experience in Cerner system

Note: The hospital may cancel up to three times per contract, either a full or partial shift.
