**Job Title:** Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technician CWR

**Shift:** 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 5x8hr shifts, Monday-Friday; Holidays as needed; On Call required

**Guaranteed Hours:** 40.00 hours per week

**Experience:**
- Must have 2 years of prior experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital.

**License:** Not applicable

**Certifications:**
- RCIS, RCES, or RT (Preferred)

**Must-Have:**
- Knowledge of electrophysiology intra-procedure mapping, ablation, implant devices.

**Job Description:**

- Prepare sterile trays for each procedure and organize specific equipment for each procedure.
- Prepare patients prior to procedures, attach EKG leads, perform a betadine scrub according to protocol, and drape patients.
- Assist cardiac catheterization nurse in preparing patients for monitoring.
- Calibrate and test transducers for accurate pressure readings.
- Assist physicians throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Load and operate power injectors.
- Utilize and maintain standards for the operation of digital cine technologies, including protocols for storage and retrieval of patient images and hemodynamic records.
- Ensure proper downloading of all CD acquisitions to the hospital mainframe for review.
- Assist nurses and physicians in supportive measures necessary to restore and/or maintain patients' well-being in emergency situations.
- Assist in the removal of procedural sheaths from patients after transfer.
- Assist in the insertion of vascular closure devices for proper inter-vascular stability.
- Assist in inventory control by notifying appropriate personnel of diminished supplies.
- Assist with the maintenance, calibration, and routine evaluation of all diagnostic and technical equipment.
- Lift a minimum of 40 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 4 hours a day.
- Identify the needs of the patient population served and deliver care specific to those needs (e.g., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.).
- Adhere to organizational competencies and standards.
