**Job Title:** Registered Radiologic Technologist

**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Preferred: 1 year as a general radiographer
**License:** IEMA Radiography License
**Certifications:** BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), Radiography (R)(ARRT)
**Must-Have:** Patient care skills, radiologic technologist skills, radiology experience, imaging skills, ACLS

**Job Description:**

- Assume responsibility for designated patients, specifically in the Invasive Lab.
- Assist physicians in all procedures, adding value to patient care and the team.
- Administer contrast material (when applicable) by existing IV line or by venipuncture, and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
- Anticipate set-up and needs for invasive procedures and assist with inventory/supplies.
- Check for correct patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
- Compile pertinent clinical information related to lab, pathology, and more.
- Administer medication in compliance with the scope of practice and document accurately.
- Explain procedures to patients while providing care, including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality.
- Perform all essential functions of the Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist.
- Perform on-call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.
- Required to float to all procedural areas and maintain a clean and neat work area.
- Demonstrate competence in operating imaging, physiological monitoring, and related equipment, and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
- Administer and withhold contrast and treatment as appropriate.
- Assess patients for allergies.
- Function as a scrub and monitor technician on a rotating basis during procedures.
- Assist physicians during interventional procedures.
- Take call after 6 months of orientation.

**Preferred Skills & Experience:**

- Capacity to learn and retain information regarding patient care and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accurately.
- Demonstrate compassion and care in dealing with others.
- Manual dexterity to handle small supplies.

**Education:**

- Required: Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
