- Experience with IV medications, hemodynamic lines, ventilator management, telemetry, critical thinking, and teamwork

Description:
Seeking a dedicated ICU nurse to join a mixed unit with 39 beds including medical, surgical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. Ideal candidates will have experience with complex ICU patients, diagnoses like ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, post-surgical complications, and multiple trauma incidents. Cardiac experience with CABG/TAVR post-op is preferred but not required. Nurses will handle a patient ratio of 1:1, 1:2, or in rare cases, 1:3, based on acuity. Support on the unit includes nurse aides, charge nurses, phlebotomy services, a resource nurse, and 24/7 respiratory therapists.

Candidates should be skilled in using Epic for charting, managing ventilators, administering sedation, paralytics, using hemodynamic lines, and other critical care responsibilities. Experience with advanced devices like Impella, IABP, and CRRT is strongly preferred. Orientation includes one 12-hour and one 8-hour shift in the ICU. Nurses are expected to work with a weekend rotation schedule and will not be on call.

The ideal candidate should excel in fast-paced environments, work well in team settings, and possess strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
