**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - ICU

**Job Specialty:** ICU

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12 Hour Nights

**Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, excluding travel experience. Candidates with 1.5 years of ICU experience and significant RN experience outside of ICU need management approval. Prior travel assignment experience is required.

**License:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing

**Certifications:**
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- TNCC (must obtain prior to arrival)

**Must-Have:**
- Epic experience
- Comfortability working a 48-hour/week contract
- Experience with complex ICU patients (surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, trauma)

**Job Description:**

- Work in a mixed unit with 39 beds including MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU.
- Care for complex ICU patients with various conditions such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-cardiac procedures, and trauma.
- Cardiac experience preferred but not required. Facility provides fresh open-heart procedures to experienced permanent staff.
- Maintain patient ratios of RN: 1:1, 1:2, and rarely 1:3, depending on acuity levels.
- Required to float to other units as needed, including ED and PCU.
- Engage in IV medication administration, managing ventilators, hemodynamic lines, and telemetry.
- Collaborate within a team setting and adapt to fast-paced environments with critically ill patients.
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT is strongly preferred.
- Supported by CNA, charge nurse, phlebotomy (peripheral draws only), RT (24/7), and physicians (intensivists and APP on nights).

**Additional Information:**
- Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
- No on-call schedule.
- No time off during the holiday season or specific events such as the early August period.
- Navy scrubs required.
