**Hours per Shift:** 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

**Experience:** ICU experience required; Neurosurgery experience preferred. Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.

**License:** Must hold a nursing license from the permanent address state.

**Certifications:** BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association)

**Must-Have:** Basic Arrhythmia experience

**Description:**

We are seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join a recently renovated 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit. This role involves supporting both IMC and ICU levels of care for adult patients with a variety of neurology, neurosurgical, and stroke conditions. Conditions can include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysms, and other neurovascular diseases. The successful candidate will utilize strong critical thinking skills and provide interventions, including vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, use of feeding tubes, drains, and frequent assessments. You will work with a dynamic and supportive team of nurses committed to providing expert care as part of our nationally recognized neuroscience programs.

Facility requirements stipulate that a traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles from the assigned work site location. Travelers are the first to float and may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on staffing needs. During the assignment, if the primary unit no longer requires the traveler, shifts will be reassigned to another unit to complete the contract.

Orientation is typically about one week.
